I always knew I would go overboard when I saw Antoni Gaudi’s work in Barcelona. Visited La Pedrera – Casa Milà today 1906-1912. This was a private home of the Milá family. It was Gaudi’s last work and was commissioned by the wealthy Milá family. The couple occupied the main floor and rented out the other apartments. A few of the apartments are still rented to this day by the decedents of the original tenants. Once they pass on their apartments will be taken over by the Foundation. The Milá’s didn’t have any family so when they passed on the building was declared a World Heritage sight that is maintained by a foundation. I have also included some images os some of Gaudi’s other work on Passieg de Gracia. Gaudi’s attention to detail was incredible. From the original tiling on the floor to the organically shaped brass door handles
